Applications 2024

We are delighted to welcome applications for our upcoming academic year beginning January 2024! The IBTS Research Community is an international community of Baptist scholars that facilitates original research, and is committed to academic excellence and empowering witness in everyday life. You can be a part of this through our PhD Programme.

This is a special year as IBTS looks to celebrate 75 fruitful years of high quality education and training for students across the world. Therefore, we recommend that potential students get in touch at as early a stage as possible to start those initial conversations.

Call for Pictures

2024 will be a special year marking 75 years of IBTS. As part of this project, we are on the hunt for photos from our Rüschlikon, Prague and Amsterdam bases. If you have pictures from any of these, we would love to see them! Selected photos will appear in an anniversary video which will be shared at the beginning of next year. Please contact Ross if you would like to learn more.

Scripture & Theology

Scripture & Theology is an interdisciplinary, international and interconfessional (and sometimes even interreligious) platform for discussing the interrelationship between Biblical Studies and Systematic Theology. This project comes highly recommended by both Dr Ivana Noble and Dr Tim Noble.

They are always on the lookout for new collaborators from various countries, denominational and disciplinary backgrounds, and everyone is invited to contribute to their meetings. For more information, please contact Dr Tim Noble.

Reimagining Mission & Learning in Community

Clívison De Santana attended our Ethics Conference last May, and has recently completed one of our courses in Missional Leadership. One of the core principles of this course was to discuss relevant questions that arise from the situations in which we find ourselves. Clívi reflected:

'It also encouraged me to believe that theology and a learning process can be done in a completely hopeful way. Theology is practical and starts down here, in my real life. It's about real life experiences'. You can hear the full reflection here.

The next course on Missional Leadership will be starting this autumn. If Clívi's story resonates with you and you would like to learn more about upcoming courses, please do get in touch.
