IBTS 2024 - Applications now open!

We are delighted to welcome applications for our upcoming academic year beginning January 2024. This is a special year as IBTS looks to celebrate 75 fruitful years of high quality education and training for students across the world. The IBTS PhD Research Programme focuses on the major areas of Identity (Anabaptist and Baptist History and Theology), Mission, and Practice (Practical Theology and Qualitative Research). The delivery of this programme functions within a collaborative partnership with VU Amsterdam, which is consistently listed among the world's top universities in various rankings.

It is hugely beneficial to converse from the beginning around potential areas of interest, research questions, and how that might line up with IBTS and what we offer. One of our key focuses at IBTS is to develop more effective connections with people who would benefit from our programmes, and so we are committed to making our pathways into theological education and research more accessible. Therefore, we recommend that potential students get in touch at as early a stage as possible to start those initial conversations.
